Maskarade has been fortunate to have its breeding program recognized at the National Specialties we have attended. In 1999 our bitch Ch. Alcinta's Secret Passion ("Mandy") won the brood bitch class with her sons, Ch. Maskarade's Walkin' On Air ("Walker") and Ch. Maskarade's Johnny Walker Red ("Shooter").

The 2000 Nationals were even better. Mandy's grandson and Walker's son, Ch. Maskarade's The Highwayman ("Raider") was Reserve Winners Dog at 6months/10 days. He finished at 14 months and is now a multiple BOB winner. Raider's Grandsire (and Mandy's favorite boyfriend), Ch. Gerick's Sno Sky Walkey Talkey took the veteran class and an Award Of Merit for the Dalakians in 2000 (as Ch. Gerick's Mystic Prim N' Proper "Dani" who followed her 2000 AOM by going BIS at the 2001 Nationals and ANOTHER BIS at the 2002 National!) - CONGRATULATIONS DICK AND GERRI!

These much appreciated recognitions provide further incentive in our attempts to continually improve - and to insure that each breeding is an improvement over the last.

Building a successful breeding program is a slow, arduous task involving much study, hard work, networking, and more study - always trying to breed the best, most correct, sound, and well-adjusted pup possible. Despite investing your time and your heart, the best dog in the world cannot achieve if its owner doesn't "get it out there." Over the years, we have been most fortunate that the majority of our "owners" have provided our guys with loving and nurturing homes, and as with the Boyds, loving vacation getaways! Maskarade dogs work on sled teams, and have been shown in the U.S. and around the world and, due to an investment of time and money by others, have received recognition which would otherwise have been impossible. We are very aware of, and wish to sincerely thank, these contributors to our success. We couldn't have done it without you.
