Joseph R. Davis
The sole proprietor of Davis Exploration Consulting is Dr. Joseph R. Davis. Dr. Davis received his bachelor's degree in Earth Sciences from Dartmouth College, a Master's degree in Geology from Southern Methodist University and a PhD in Geology from the University of Texas at Austin.
Career experience includes work as a geologist for the U.S. Geological Survey, Senior Research Geologist for Arco Oil and Gas, Senior Staff Geologist for Maxus Energy and Vice President of Exploration for Strategic Petroleum.
Dr. Davis was certified by the American Association of Petroleum Geologists as a petroleum geologist (#3449) in 1986, attended the U.S. Army War College National Security Seminar in 1994. He has taught numerous industry seminars and short courses on Sequence Stratigraphy and Exploration for Stratigraphic Traps.
