Vocal Coaching

Learn to use your voice and body as the actor's instrument in theatre. Sherri Allen uses Linklater Voice and Skinner Speech techniques in order to free, develop, and strengthen the natural voice.  Vocal warm-ups and exercises are used as a means to learn to enunciate and articulate clearly.  Vocal clarity and projection are developed through the use of fun exercises, tongue twisters, poetry, and maybe even a little bit o’ Shakespeare!  Additionally, physical warm-ups and exercises are used as a means to convey what is inside the imagination through movement.

Private Acting and Monologue Coaching

Learn stage skills and acting techniques, as well as how to create subtext through character analysis.  Learn how to tailor your monologues for specific auditions.  Sherri Allen uses the Stanislavski Method and Meisner acting technique as a means to teach students to respond more freely and spontaneously in the moment, both physically and vocally.

One of Sherri's private Shakespeare students went on to win First Place at a San Diego county-wide Shakespeare Competition for which she received an all-expense paid trip to New York City to participate as a Semi-Finalist in a National Shakespeare Competition.
