I made this stained glass box to hold an 1836
edition Hagaddah. The box protects the
Hagaddah, and also serves as a display case.
This is a rectangular version of my Jerusalem Menorah.
The Dreidel (left) or Jerusalem
(right) Menorahs can be put into
either the kosher (see preceding
Judaica page) or nonkosher
(shown here) frames.
I designed this unique gift for a cousin's wedding.
The actual invitation, surrounded by stained glass
depictions of the chupah and other symbols of a
Jewish wedding, makes this beautiful design a
very personal remembrance of a very special
occasion.
Our Jewish holidays begin with
Candle Lighting, which is the name of this design. Yom Tov begins at sunset, and
is over when three stars appear in the sky at the end of the last day. We read,
we pray, we drink, we eat, we celebrate.
This design is available in 12 inch and 16 inch sizes.
Each Havdalah set is unique. I
always enjoy abstract patterns, which you can see expressed in the design
shown above, Waves. The Sunset design (above right) is a reminder of when
the Havdalah Service takes place. I created the Star of David design for my
granddaughter, when her third grade class did a Havdalah Service.
The spice boxes and candle holders will have the patterns shown,
but the wine glasses and the tray colors will vary.
The Shabbat candlesticks will add beauty and dignity to this important day. The circular Hanukiah piece will remind you of the fun of Hanukah all year 'round.
