The Civil Air Patrol is a civilian volunteer subsidiary of the
United
States Air Force tasked with the responsibility for Search and Rescue,
Aerospace Education and Disaster Reconnaissance activities. The CAP
provides you with an opportunity to serve your country and the aviation
community while developing your flying and emergency services skills.
Atlanta Senior Squadron One is a Senior CAP squadron whose activities
are dedicated to Search and Rescue and Disaster Reconnaissance activities.
Our members vary in age, flying and emergency services experience and
come from many and varied vocations. Approximately one third of our
members are pilots. The remainder serve as air crew members and in
mission base staff positions. We are a TEAM of volunteers committed to
accomplishing the tasks assigned to us in a professional and competent
manner.
We welcome new members and will be glad to have you visit one of our
squadron meetings. We meet in Building 900 at Circle 75 Parkway
in Marietta on the First and Third Monday of every month at 7:00
pm.
If you are interested in attending one of our meetings, call Bob Coats at
770-973-2489.
