Eligibility: Open to current members of the USJF, USJI
OR USJA. You must present a current USJF, USJI OR USJA card.
USJF registration will be available at tournament
Rules: Current IJF rules will be used with the
following
modifications. Pre 1994 rules regarding safety zones
and out of bounds area. 3 minute match time. No chokes
ages 12 and under. No arm bars for any rank.
Awards: All competitors in divisions 10 years old and
under
will receive an award.
All others divisions awards for 1st, 2nd and 2 – 3rd places.

Pee wee boys and girls 4-6 yrs 8:30 - 9:00am
Boys and Girls 7-10yrs
9:00 - 9:30am
Boys and Girls 11-16yrs 10:00 - 10:45am
Divisions
All contestants 4-10 will be matched as evenly as
possible by age, weight, and belt, and will compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd within their 3 or 4 man pool.
All others divisions awards for 1st, 2nd and 2 – 3rd
places.

Directions:
Take I-95 North into
New Jersey. Get off at Exit 7B
(Lawrenceville) to Route 206 North.
Follow to where 206 North takes a left (called Bayard Lane at that point) and
take that left. At the first traffic light, turn right onto Paul Robeson Place.
The YWCA will be on your left. Take the second driveway into the large parking
lot.
Take the NJ Turnpike South
to Exit 9 (New Brunswick). Bear right after the toll booth and follow NJ
Route 18 North a short distance to US Route 1 South. Continue on Route 1, about 18 miles to the Route
571/Washington Road traffic light (an intersection with 3 gas stations and a
Century 21 on the left). Make a right onto Washington Road. Go to the third
traffic light and make a left onto Nassau Street. At the first light, make a
right onto Witherspoon St. to the next traffic light. Turn left onto Paul
Robeson Place, pass the baseball field, and turn right into the driveway of the
YWCA's parking lot.

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND AGREEMENT TO
PARTICIPATE
In consideration
of being permitted to participate in any way, including travel to and from, in
any Judo tournament, practice, clinic, and related events and activities of the
United States Judo Federation, Inc., United States Judo, Inc.,
United States Judo Association, Inc., Hudson Judo Yudanshakai, Inc., Judo of
New Jersey, Inc., Princeton Judo, and the Princeton YWCA, I hereby:
1. Acknowledge that I am familiar with the sport of Judo and
understand the rules governing the sport of Judo.
2. Agree that, prior to
participating, I will inspect the mats, equipment, facilities, competition
pools or divisions, and the elimination or scoring system to be used, and if I
believe anything is unsafe or beyond my capability, I will immediately advise
my coach, supervisor, and/or a tournament official of such conditions and
refuse to participate.
3. Acknowledge and fully understand that I will be engaging in a
contact sport that might result in serious injury, including permanent
disability or death, and severe social and economic losses due not only to my
own actions, inactions or negligence, but also to the actions, inactions, or
negligence of others, the rules of the sport of Judo, or conditions of the
premises or of any equipment used. Further, I acknowledge that there may be
other risks not known to me or not reasonably foreseeable at this time.
4. Knowing the risks involved in the sport of Judo, I assume all such
risks and accept personal responsibility for the damages following such injury,
permanent disability, or death.
5. Release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue the United
States Judo Federation, Inc., United States Judo, Inc., United States Judo
Association, Inc., Hudson Judo Yudanshakai, Inc., Judo of New Jersey, Inc., Princeton
Judo, and the Princeton YWCA, together
with their affiliated clubs, their respective administrators, directors,
agents, coaches, and other employees or volunteers of the organization, event
officials, medical personnel, other participants, their parents, legal
guardians, supervisors and coaches, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers,
and if applicable, owners, lessors, and lessees of premises used in conducting
the event, all of whom are hereinafter referred to as "Releasees",
from any and all claims, demands, losses, or damages on account of injury,
including permanent disability and death or damage to property, caused or
alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the Releasees or
otherwise to the fullest extent permitted by law.

SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND KNOWING THIS, SIGN IT VOLUNTARILY. I
