SEMO markets Independent Contract Software Engineers. Our client companies are typically small or mid-size software or software/hardware vendors located in eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Our Contractors:

Make more money.

Receive over 90% of their billing rate.

Maintain control over the billing and remain as their own corporations or DBAs.

Stay within the dollar limits specified by the client companies. We also limit the period that you'll pay us.

Client companies benefit by obtaining senior contractors at a price that they would otherwise have to pay for junior contractors from other agencies.

We do this by doing the marketing for you as an agency might but describing the contract opening to you in advance to see if you wish to be submitted and at what hourly income to you. If you wish to be submitted, we'll add no more than $5 to the rate. If you get the job, you'll do the billing and pay us the $5 per hour soon after you get paid. Fixed price contract work will be charged by us at 5% of the contract price.

You are then your own corporation or DBA and can take advantage of SEPs and Keoughs plus other business expenses that may be denied to you as a W-2. You also will be competively priced with other contractors netting far less because they have major markups added on by the typical agency. We work with a number of senior contractors who became too expensive to be marketed adequately by the typical agency.
