Lab Equipment

Paging Martha Stewart ...

Ferrets just seem to need a lot of stuff. A LOT of stuff. Things to sleep in or on. Things to hide in. Things to keep them amused and free of the stress of boredom. The most indulgent dog or cat owner would boggle at the stuff we routinely provide for our fuzzbutts.

Fortunately, ferrets are not impressed by designer labels. (Actually, they can't read!) So, do-it-yourself projects can help keep them happy without making your banker unhappy. A few simple tools and supplies are all you need. The Evil Minions and I have put together some step-by-step instructions for a few useful, yet economical, items of equipment that help furnish our lab, along with some information on the cost of each project.

Equipment List

  1. Soft-sided carrier
  2. Dig and nest boxes
  3. Free-standing hammock frames
