Touche', a 1971 C&C 35, hull #83, is homeported in Mandeville, LA on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain.
Touche' races and cruises the Gulf Coast from Mandeville to Pensacola.
Touche' was ordered in April 1971. Touche's keel was laid in 1971 at Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. Upon completion,
Touche' was delivered to Walet Yacht Sales in New Orleans for final fitting out and launch. Touche' was first to finish
the Gulfport to Pensacola Race in June 1972. Touche' was raced frequently in the late 70's by B.B. Saxon. From
the early 80's until mid 1999, Touche' was lightly sailed or idled until purchased by the current owner.
Since mid 1999, Touche' has been extensively refurbished and upgraded. The running rigging has been totally reconfigured
for race and shorthanded sailing. The original Atomic 4 has been replaced with a Universal 25 hp diesel. Both
the 12 volt DC and 120 volt AC wiring systems have been almost totally replaced. The boat has over 8000 miles under
keel since being rechristened in December 1999.
