Many alpine plants of Washington State are interesting as well as beautiful. Some
are quite rare, restricted to a few mountain tops yet may coexist side by side with other species that live
all around the globe. Some will live only in rocky crevises, others only in a loose scree. Both
common and uncommon are depicted on these pages.
