For many years, I've enjoyed the unique challenge and satisfaction of writing software. Applications that I've created have ranged from small utility programs to large-scale specialized schedule programs, a number of which are currently being used by my
employer on a daily basis. What I like most however, is designing small, useful utility
programs that are designed for a single purpose, without a lot of unnecessary code
bloat.During this long trek through the world of bits and bytes, I have written applications in basic, assembly language, Pascal, C, Visual Basic, and also picked up some SQL for use in for database applications. Most recently, I have been using Delphi, which is Borland's implementation of a fully object oriented Pascal language especially suited for Windows programs. After spending years writing Windows applications with Visual Basic, I've now embraced Delphi as my current program development language of choice. It offers numerous advantages over Visual Basic, including execution speed, fully compiled executables, a wide range of available functions, and an extremely powerful IDE (interactive development environment). A few of my favorite programs are posted here for downloading. These are all freeware programs, so just enjoy them! Note that all of these programs have been compressed using WinZip and will need to be unzipped prior to use. |
