PPK
(Personal Pain Kit)
1994
42" x 4" x 4"
stainless steel, glass, hospital gowns, blood, chains, china markers
One
of my most successful pieces, "PPK" was created for
my final collection at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art
at Oxford in 1994. That same year it showed at London's The Cut
gallery. In 1995 it traveled to the Foothills Art Center in Golden,
Colorado, the Berkeley Art Center, and the Lubbock Fine Arts Center.
In 1996 it was selected by Lisa Phillips, curator at the Whitney
museum for Texas Fine Arts Association's New American Talent:
the Twelfth Exhibition which toured throughout Texas until
1998. Later that same year it was shown in Encase: To Wrap
Up in Something Solid at Robert McClain & Co. in Houston.
It is now in a private collection.
