San Diego Update Full Moon
It is longstanding Rainbow Family consensus that nobody has ever, or ever will represent the Rainbow Family. This is an unofficial collection of information on the Southern California Rainbow Family and the Rainbow Gatherings, and in no way should anyone who works on this web site be considered to be representing the Rainbow Family.
The 2009 Annual Gathering of the Tribes will take place in
New Mexico culminating in the silence/prayer for peace on July 4.

Just a reminder, no smoking is allowed in San Diego Parks or on San Diego Beaches.
Balboa Park adjacent to Marston Point in the Pine Grove Picnic Area. From the intersection of Sixth Avenue and Laurel Streets in Hillcrest, enter the park going east on Laurel (which becomes El Prado). Turn right on Balboa Drive which is the last right before the Cabrillo Bridge. Follow Balboa Drive as it loops around and look for family near the Pine Grove Picnic Area and the restrooms.

So some individuals who gather have been talking to the Undersecretary
of the USDA, Mark Rey, about alternatives to signing a permit for non-commercial group use.
I've attached two documents that show an "offer" on the table from
Mr. Rey. First is the entire fax in one PDF document (you'll have to rotate it to turn it around). Then are two GIF files page one and page two of the same document as indicated. Please download, link to and/or distribute this information freely.

FOCALIZERS
A Focalizer is anyone willing to be a focal point or conduit of energies and information. They focus efforts to tasks
that need to be addressed. Anyone can be a focalizer to whatever degree they choose. If you see an overlooked
need, take the initiative and do it! Volunteering for too much can burn you out, so get help, lovingly delegate.
Sometimes there are people waiting to be useful, with hidden talents. A good focalizer respects consensus, avoids
egoism, empowers & respects people, and allows them to learn, even at the price of inefficiency. They are not like
leaders in Babylon. They are not placed OVER us. A focalizer lacking vision and wisdom will simply not be followed.
Their election is ongoing.

when coming to Rainbow Family events, alcohol is not appropriate, so please
leave it at home. If you smoke, take your butts home with you. Don't throw
them on the ground. Also, buying and selling of anything is not appropriate.
These are totally free, non commercial events.
