The Landscapes and Seascapes Series (1999 - present) Artist's Statement:

The paintings in this series come from a place in which the artistic process and the practice of meditation are one and the same. They are usually composed of two main color fields that can represent such things as an internal earth and sky or an inner sense of body and mind. They can also depict a sensory experience, a memory, a feeling or something imagined. The titles of the paintings describe the imaginal and/or existential state glimpsed during the process.
