All Original Coupe

In May of 2005 I acquired this "Pop Orange" 1972 Z600 and with this car I consider my 600 collection complete.  The car itself is in great condition considering how they typically age and how they are typically mistreated by their owners.

This car sports original paint and interior.  It has over 100,000 miles on the clock but most of those miles were accrued behind a motor home.

I replaced  the original wheels with a vintage set of Pos-a-Traction alloys and a new set of Kuhmo radial tires.

After cleaning out the fuel system replacing the plugs, point, condenser, oil and filter plus having the carb overhauled by 600 specialist Tim Mings this Z600 roared back to life on July 4th weekend 2006.  The car runs strong after who know how many years of sitting.  A brake system overhaul is next on the list.  600 specialist Miles Chappell is me helping out with this.  In the meantime there was just enough stopping power left to take the car out for a short drive.  Boy did that little car bring back good memories!  The sounds, the smells and the driving feel.

Truly fun!

One good way to judge how well a car has been cared for is to examine the interior.  This Z600s interior is in great shape.  There are a few seam separations on the front seats but nothing that isn't repairable.  Even the original AM radio works.
