Garaged for more than 30 years after an unfortunate act of vandalism,
this car has only 22,000 miles on it. The tubes in the original bias-ply white wall tires still hold air.
I actualy owe the vandles a bit of thanks. If the car hadn't
been put away years ago it would have long since found itself in a salvage yard. Instead it was nicely preserved.

As the story goes,
the car was brought to Mexico
by a Honda Motor Company test driver in 1965 for evaluation in the Americas.
When testing was finished the car was sold to the man I eventually bought the car from. That owner relates that the test
driver received a speeding ticket on a trip to Las Vegas. Not bad for
this car with the speed limits of the 1960s. Hot weather testing in Nevada or road trip...
we will never know for sure!

A total
of 1,800 S600 Coupes were produced during the 1965 and 1966 model years. This car happens to be 1,307 of the 1,519 produced
for 1965.

The engine is an unknown. However, the crankshaft turns
by hand so that is a positive sign. All the original parts appear to be in the right places. As one would expect from a Honda
engine I'd guess that after some TLC that it will fire right up and run!

This particular
car has a Japan
market configuration with right-hand drive, kilometers per hour on the speedometer and Celsius on the temperature gauge. The
interior of the Coupe was advertised as roomy compared to the Roadster version.

Although
the body is in need of repair, the interior is well preserved with the factory installed plastic covers still on the interior
panels.
