May 2008 - The body stripped, I trucked it to an experienced metal
fabricator: GTA Auto Body in Orange, California - It is the same shop that did the repairs on my S600 Roadster.

With their expertise they skillfully removed the dents and dings in the body and repaired a little
rust in the front rockers. The most significant damage was the roof. They used a heating technique to "iron out"
the damaged metal and then physically hammered out the remaining wrinkles.

The front of the car was the other major problem area. The nose, grill,
hood, the front fenders, front apron and bumper all needed attention.

The final prep of the body is critical before the paint
is applied. The Coupe's body is shown here just before it is sprayed.

Gary at GTA straightened things up front so the abuse was only a memory.

June 2008 the paint is complete! The car is a great, original shade of Honda R-2 otherwise
know as Scarlet. It is strange to see the body straight and the finish gleaming. After a little color
sanding it will be time to reassemble!
