This is my car on day one, May 13, 1995. My friend Miles Chappell called
and tipped me off about it at Blackman Cycles in Allentown, PA. As is typically the case with most S-cars, mine was mostly
in boxes. Friend Brian Baker and I loaded the whole kit & kaboodle up and shipped it to his shop in Middletown,
New York.

This is a rear quarter shot from day one. Did I mention I bought this
car the week before I moved from Virginia to California? ...and that I drove to Upstate New York, met Brian (for the first
time), drove to Allentown, bought the car and drove back to Virginia! The crazy things Hondas make us do...

This is an interior shot from day one. It is a tragedy that so many Naugas had to die for the re-cover job somebody did.
The interior should be, will be red. White exterior with red interior is a Honda S-car tradition carried through to today's
S2000.

So after the car and its boxes arrived in New York, Brian worked it over a bit. Of course it started on the first try. That's
after being stored for about 14 years. This is my first drive in what would become an old friend.

The car arrived in California from New York in December of 1995. Little
by little for the next four years the car was reassembled. Replacements for parts that were missing or lost were tracked down
either from Mother Honda or through friends with stockpiles of used parts. Along the way I acquired a factory fiberglass hardtop
which will be restored along with the car. I was also lucky enough to get the California personalized license plate "65HONDA"
so hopefully that will cut down on the number of people asking me "what kinda car is that?"

This photo was taken in front of American Honda's headquarters. When I moved from Long Beach to Los Angeles,
we stopped off for a visit. That was the longest trip I'd ever taken in this car. It was exhilarating... but I think I'm going
to stay off the 405 freeway until the new steering bushing is installed!
