Well, I've finally gotten around to adding another song. Complete with mp3!
Hopefully, more will follow soon.
Less Than Softly - An anti-war
folk song. Also the first of my 2-song anti-Bush opus (the
anti-Bush's-foreign-policy song - look for the domestic version as soon as
I finish typing it up). Most of this was written in 2002,
but I finished it up just before we invaded Iraq, and decided to put
it out publicly while it's still relevant (political songs are troublesome
that way). I invite anyone to use the song as-is, or modify it (as long
as you maintain the original anti-war emphasis) as desired. Also, feel
free to change the chord progressions, especially since you're currently
on your own to write the melody, as I haven't got any way of posting
that, at the moment. Which might be a good thing...

I wrote the lyrics to this song while sitting under a tree at the Summerfolk
festival in Owen Sound, ON. I wrote the chords a week later in a tent at the
Philadelphia Folk Festival. The first verse clearly references Woodstock,
but it really refers to any folk festival. They are magical places.
