RELEVANT SKILLS & EXPERIENCE


ART DIRECTION

Directed and coordinated the print production of twenty-one major catalogs for SEIKO. Interfaced with outside graphic design firms, photographers and printers while providing direction of projects to ensure the highest quality of marketing materials. Handled multiple projects simultaneously working with tight deadlines and limited budgets.


TRADE SHOW COORDINATION


Coordinated Ophthalmology and Dermatology trade shows for HGM Medical Lasers which included everything from ordering the booth space to arranging all of its services; electrical, phone, lead machines, furnishings, cleaning, housing, travel, shipping & drayage. Adhered to strict regulations for laser safety and insurance.


INSTRUCTION


• Instructed Graphic Design & Illustration courses using the software programs QuarkXpress 4.0 & Adobe Illustrator 10. Adjunct professor for Eagle Gate College; 2002.


COMPUTER SKILLS


• Experienced using Macintosh and Windows OS with desktop publishing software; InDesign, QuarkXpress, Pagemaker, Photoshop, Power Point, Typestyler, Illustrator, Freehand and GoLive.


DESIGN

• Designed and placed full color advertisements promoting medical lasers in fine trade magazines.

• Created Billboards for Wendy's and Training Table Restaurants at the Orton Group.

• Designed the WINDWARD trademark for a premier collection of SEIKO watches.

• T-shirt design for Grateful Dead Merchandising, a world wide distributor.

• Cover art for the album "Voices" by Tim R. Crawford.

• Promotional literature such as; advertisements, catalogs, brochures, and instruction manuals.

• Web site designed as an online portfolio.

PHOTOGRAPHY

• Executed and directed all in house photography for catalogs, trade shows and promotional materials for Cannondale.

• Published life style photographer with photos used in cycling catalogs, national and international magazines including Forbes, Velo Vert and L.L. Bean catalog.

• Experienced with advanced digital cameras and lighting techniques for producing product photography.

• Saved over $50,000 in company purchase orders by composing and shooting a product photo within 24 hours for use in a retail catalog.


ILLUSTRATION


• Created technical illustrations showing assembly of bicycle components used in catalogs, packaging and instruction manuals for Cannondale Corporation.

• Developed a line drawing style of clothing and accessories used in manufacturer's catalogs and national publications such as American Bicyclist.

• Illustrated the cover art for several wall paper books (Harvest Home, Cottage Settings and Time & Again).

• Composed and painted murals of three Hudson Valley ecosystems for a diorama of the Hudson River, placed on permanent display at Mills-Norrie State Park in Staatsburg, New York.

• Illustrated original creation titled "Freedom" and marketed limited edition prints.

• Painted scenic backdrops used by Grolier Corporation and Danbury Mint for Walt Disney Collectible marketing.


• Painted an 8 x 10 foot mural addressing world peace and environmental issues for the 25th Anniversary Concert Art Wall at WOODSTOCK 94 in Saugerties, New York.


SCULPTURE

• Sculpted mascot and character heads for ALINCO costumes.

• Model making, rapid prototypes, SLA & OBJET parts, painting and finishing for Metropolis Design.

• Sculpted life size trees for "EFX", a theatrical production at the MGM Grand Hotel, Las Vegas.

• Created the interior structure for a 747 flight simulator, crafted from fiber glass, plastic sheeting and fiber board.

• Sculpted and painted lifelike prostheses of hands and feet to critical specifications for Aesthetic Concerns Prosthetics.

• Created a radio controlled animatronic mummy head with articulated eyes and jaw.

• Scenic design for Castle of Chaos Haunted House, marble gargoyle and mausoleum.
