Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What is the USS Chicago Reunion Committee?
A. The committee was formed to bring together shipmates of the various USS Chicagos. The first reunion was held in 1979 in the city of Minneapolis, MN, and has been held, generally, yearly since then.

Q. Are Marines and Submariners eligible for membership?
A. Marines were indeed a very important part of the ships' crew. The latest USS Chicago (SSN-721) is a boat. All who served aboard the Chicagos are welcome

Q. What should I bring?
A. Mainly yourself and SO. Many bring cruise books, memorabilia and sea stories to share.

Q. Can we share a room to cut costs?
A. We'll do what we can to match up requests. Let us know your smoking/snoring preference.

Q. Where is our next reunion?
A. Our next reunion will be in 2014 in Anaheim, CA. We attempt to have a reunion in a different part of the country each year (West coast, middle, East Coast). A page with information on possible cities for 2015 and beyond is
here.
