is a fee-based educational advisory service begun in 1994 by Sarah D. Meredith. Using her original research and database, Sarah Meredith helps sort out criteria and explains the range of specific choices that might meet your family's needs. Her service provides parents with information about these choices and advice about specific schools that meet a family's educational needs. Sarah can help parents clarify what they want in a school setting for their children, and can explain what different educational methodologies might mean in terms of a child's daily school experience. All consultations are tailored to the individual client family and fees include all follow-up materials. to list

Consultations are conducted either in person or by telephone. Sarah's first-hand observations of public and independent schools in Brooklyn and Manhattan are combined with hard data. She provides information about school district procedures, independent school processes and what to expect from applications and testing. Your family's criteria can be discussed in depth. Recommendations will be made for specific schools that you should consider. These may offer a range of choices, while meeting your family's criteria for educational and other logistical goals. In all cases you will be encouraged to contact the schools directly. Details, such as strengths and curricular features, school philosophies and characteristics, application/admissions procedures, special programs and facilities, and dates of open houses are often discussed. to list
Schools & You will provide parents with an information packet that often includes: an outline of information about specifically recommended schools, recent statistics and other relevant materials about local school districts, a glossary of terms, Board of Education curriculum guidelines, copies of published information written by Sarah D. Meredith, a list of resources in public or independent school sectors, questions to consider when touring schools, materials to help parents identify learning styles or guide an older child in discussing school choices, and even a map of the general New York City school districts. to list
