Crop circles gone awry?

No! It's a corn maze!

That's right a maze of maize. Although maze gardens are well known in European history, the existence of the labyrinth itself dates back as far as the Egyptians, who built labyrinths into their pyramids. Navigating cornfield mazes, such at the one above from the Denver Botanical Gardens in 2005, has become a popular autumn activity in the United States. You can find a corn maze adventure today, in most of the Continental United States and Canada.

However, if you can't get out to one very easily, you may still enjoy reading about the history of corn, or, designing your own maze online.
