| Château Carrouges in Normandy, France |
|
|
| The inner courtyard of the lovely chateau with a moat. |
We visited Château Carrouges during a month-long stay in Normandy. The château tour started from this charming courtyard
and we were told it was only offered in French. When a large group from Ireland showed up as the only others in our group,
we got an English-speaking tour!
The château has a full moat with the requisite ducks and even a boat in it. The gate house nearby is even more impressive
than the château.

| The quintessential lighthouse |
Also known as Squam or Wigwam Light, this lovely lighthouse lies at the entrance to the Annisquam River in Gloucester,
not too far from Marblehead, Massachusetts.

| Sunrise is the softest light. Can winter look warm? |
I was in pine tree mode one day. Here are two favorites.

| This definitely looks cold . . . as it should! |
It's only as cold as it feels.
