    The City of Beverly Hills and The Los Angeles County Commission for Women

    On October 27, 2004, Sattareh Farman Farmaian was honored to be among the many worthy community advocates from the Greater Los Angeles area who were recognized for their efforts to prevent domestic violence. Other individuals so recognized by the Mid-Wilshire Domestic Violence Prevention Collaborative represented the diverse neighborhoods that comprise our Community and who are working together to address this serious problem: Asian, African, Latino, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Jewish Orthodox, Russian, Youth, as well as Law Enforcement.

    Ms. Farman Farmaian received the Iranian Community Award for her efforts and her advocacy of the belief that "women should have an equal place at life's table and be respected as moral decision makers."

  • October 25, 2004 - Certificate of Recognition from the California State Assembly:

      "Congratulations on receiving the Mid-Wilshire Community Domestic Violence Prevention Award. This award is a tribute to your record of achievement and your civic involvement in the Iranian Community.
