Mid-day sun reflecting low tide in the sandy estuary of the Afon Dwyryd near Portmeirion, Wales. This particular tidal flat gained fame from the 1960's TV series "The Prisoner." A retired secret agent was confined (in Portmeirion) for the country's safety and was frequently pictured trying to out run his captors across the sand. The surrounding area contains some of the best and least known mountains of Wales: Snowdon to the north, the Rhinogs and the Arenigs to the south.
