While I have experience in helping people with a wide variety of issues, the following are areas in which I have the most experience and specialized training.

Trauma Recovery
Past history of sexual, physical or verbal abuse or neglect that is still causing upsetting memories, emotional reactions, and unhealthy relationship patterns.  I primarily use a technique called Lifespan Integration for an effective, gentle resolution of these issues.

Mood problems

Depression, feeling bored or irritable all the time, mood swings, trouble sleeping, eating too much or too little, self-esteem difficulties such as lack of confidence, constantly comparing yourself to others and feeling you fall short, or being overly critical of yourself.

Relationship issues

Deciding whether to stay in a relationship or leave,  coping with divorce, or wondering why you always pick the wrong person.

Spirituality and Existential Issues

Questions about meaning in one's life, struggles around finding and defining a spiritual path, finding a sense of peace.  I utilize Buddhist Psychology and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy as well as Shamanic Counseling to assist with these issues.

Adolescents

Difficulties with mood, self-esteem, school performance, social relationships, behavior, help with learning to manage feelings, sexual identity issues, concerns over self harm such as cutting or possible suicidality.
