C&H Brown Sugar, Firm Pac'd
1/2 c
All-purpose flour
1/2 ts
Nutmeg
1/2 ts
Cinnamon
1/4 ts
Salt
1/4 c
Butter or margarine
5 c
Sliced tart apples (5-6)
Mix
sugar, flour, spices and salt. Cut in
butter until mixture is
crumbly.
Spread apples over bottom of buttered 8"
or 9" square baking
pan.
Sprinkle crumbly mixture over fruit; pat
lightly with fingers.
Bake
uncovered at 350 for 40 to 45 minutes,
or until apples are
tender.
Serve warm with cream or ice cream.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
