Title: Apple Crisp - Mildred Sanner

      Yield: 8 Servings

 

      1 c  C&H Brown Sugar, Firm Pac'd

    1/2 c  All-purpose flour

    1/2 ts Nutmeg

    1/2 ts Cinnamon

    1/4 ts Salt

    1/4 c  Butter or margarine

      5 c  Sliced tart apples (5-6)

 

  Mix sugar, flour, spices and salt. Cut in butter until mixture is

  crumbly. Spread apples over bottom of buttered 8" or 9" square baking

  pan. Sprinkle crumbly mixture over fruit; pat lightly with fingers.

  Bake uncovered at 350 for 40 to 45 minutes, or until apples are

  tender. Serve warm with cream or ice cream. Makes 6 to 8 servings.

 

Title: Pop Corn Balls - Mildred Sanner

      Yield: 1 Servings

 

      2 c  Sugar

    2/3 c  White syrup

    2/3 c  Water

      1 ts Salt

           A little butter

 

  Let boil until it forms a soft ball. Pop a large dishpan of popcorn

  for a 1/2 recipe

 

Title: Pumpkin Pie - Mildred Sanner

      Yield: 2 9-inch pie

 

  2 1/2 cn Pumpkin

  1 1/3 c  Sugar

      2 ts Cinnamon

      1 ts Ginger

      1 ts Allspice

  1 1/2 ts Salt

      4    Eggs

      2 c  Milk

 

  Line pie tins with pastry. Mix pumpkin, sugar, spices, salt and beaten

  eggs. Add milk. Pour over pastry shells. Bake in hot oven, 475, 10

  minutes, reduce heat to 375 and bake 40 minutes longer.
