Trip to Michigan's Upper Peninsula 2005

Si quaeris peninsulam amoenam, circumspice.

The above Latin words say "If you seek a pleasant peninsula, look about you." That is Michigan's state motto, and I was reminded of its truth on my trip to northern Michigan in August 2005. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, and the blue skies really made everything around look all the more beautiful. Picture after picture looked like postcards.
