My Memory Quilt

I had been wanting to do something special with my old, sentimental T-shirts for quite some time. My family has a tradition of quilting, so I thought it would be cool to have a quilt made using my old T-shirts. My Mom surprised me with a T-shirt quilt for Christmas 2002! At right, I'm opening the quilt. |

These are nine of the panels on the front of the quilt. In addition to the sentimental value of these T-shirts, the bordering fabric also has special meaning. It is from a fabric collection called Mother's Valentines that was designed from my Great-Aunt Helmi's childhood Valentines! | ||
This
is the Hard Rock Honolulu panel and part of the backside of the
quilt (flipped up for easy viewing). The back side fabric is lines
of music. |
