My Memory Quilt

I had been wanting to do something special with my old, sentimental T-shirts for quite some time. My family has a tradition of quilting, so I thought it would be cool to have a quilt made using my old T-shirts.

My Mom surprised me with a T-shirt quilt for Christmas 2002! At right, I'm opening the quilt.

These are nine of the panels on the front of the quilt. In addition to the sentimental value of these T-shirts, the bordering fabric also has special meaning. It is from a fabric collection called Mother's Valentines that was designed from my Great-Aunt Helmi's childhood Valentines!

This is the Hard Rock Honolulu panel and part of the backside of the quilt (flipped up for easy viewing). The back side fabric is lines of music.
Here's me with the quilt (below left) and the full quilt on its own.
