As children we draw scenes of home, Mommy and Daddy, brothers and sisters. From those early moments to today, I have continued painting scenes around me. Painting challenges me to explore the endless possibilities of expression. Trained to become a commercial artist long before graphic design was a phrase, I worked in the burgeoning computer field to avoid starvation! Today I work as a professional artist and my company "Sandhills Artist" began five years ago. I am an award-winning artist specializing in portraits, scenes, people, and animals and a member of several art organizations. I exhibit my work in local and regional galleries, businesses, and private collections throughout the United States. Currently I am exhibiting at Artist Alley in Southern Pines, North Carolina, at Hollyhocks Art Gallery in Pinehurst, North Carolina, at Crossroads Art Center in Richmond, Virginia and at Morings Arts and Crafts in Asheboro, North Carolina. My 2008 juried shows include the 2008 Hilton Head National Juried Exhibition, the 18th Annual Mid-Atlantic Juried Art Exhibit, the Long Island Smithtown Township Arts Council Juried Exhibit “Circling The Globe Through Women's Lives”, and the Randolph Arts Guild 26th Annual Juried Art Show.
