Create your own dance class with family and friends!

Take your pick of any of the dance styles that I teach and create your own combination of what you want to learn! You choose how many lessons, and we can find a location and a price that works for both of us!

World Dance Fusion Level 1

An dynamic fusion of Belly dancing, Latin, Jazz, Hip Hop, Swing, Hula, & African Dance!

     This class is for total beginners. It is intended for all ages and body types. The foundation of the class is Belly Dancing which is a low impact approach to burn calories, while it massages and stimulates your digestive system, which increases you metabolism. Belly dance is one of the most ancient and evolved forms of dance in the world. Saliima mixes in basic Jazz, Latin, Hula, Hip Hop, Swing, and African dance steps. The last 15 minutes of class will include pilates/core strengthening exercises and stretching.  Bring a towel or yoga mat. Wear comfortable loose clothes and bring any kind of scarf to tie around your waist!

   The class begins with a full body warm up that includes techniques from many different genres of world dance. Emphasis is based on giving dancers a better awareness of their bodies and different ways of moving body parts. Saliima will include flowing isolation variations, joint circles, and stretching to increase your flexibility and range of motion; swirling arm variations & rhythmic footwork variations to increase your coordination and draw out your feminine power!  The class approach is always with the safety of the dancer’s body in mind.

World Dance Fusion Level 2

A dynamic fusion of Belly dancing, Latin, Jazz, Hip Hop, Hula, Swing, and African Dance!

This class will expand on Saliima’s unique fusion of dance styles with more exciting isolation variation, sexy arm variations, and syncopated rhythms and turns so you can really enjoy translating the music into sensual movement in your body! The last 15 minutes of class will include pilates/core strengthening exercises and stretching. Bring a towel or yoga mat. Wear comfortable loose clothes and bring any kind of scarf to tie around your waist! This class will focus on choreography sequences and has an optional performance opportunity at the end of the session.

World Dance Fusion Level 3

This class focuses on Improvisaion, Musicality, and advanced rhythms.

Ballroom Sampler Level I

This class is for total beginners. You will learn fun simple moves and rhythms so you can dance to fast and slow music. The class will cover the basics for the following dances: Salsa, Merengue, Cha Cha, Rumba, Swing, Foxtrot, and Waltz.

 Ballroom Sampler Levels 2-4 

These classes are for people who are familar with the basic rhythms and moves for Salsa, Merengue, Cha Cha, Rumba, Swing, Foxtrot, and Waltz. These class will teach a variety of moves in each dance and focus on style, technique, and musicality.

Hip Hop Latin Fusion Levels 1-4

This class focuses on a variety current Hip Hop styles, and is danced to curreny Hip Hop/Pop music.  The class includes a full body warm up with popular Hip Hop isolations, arm variations,  footwork variations, and dynamic choreography sequences.  This class will also focus on how to improvise and dance at clubs! 

Hula Dancing

Learn this elegant, graceful, mezmerizing style of dance from the beautiful Islands of Hawaii.  Slow and Fast styles of Hula dancing will be taught so you get a great work out, and enjoy the calming peaceful effects of learning how to move like the ocean!

 Latin Dance (Salsa, Cha Cha, Merengue, Bachata) Levels 1-4

Learn these energetic, popular Latin club dances, so you can dance the night away.  Each level teaches footwork, the art of leading & following, arm styling, shoulder & hip isolations, beautiful, efficient dance technique & posture!
