2007 Suzuki DRZ400SM
New Project- 9/1/2007
This is the bike as it was when I picked it up- pretty shabby but the mechanicals looked good. The ex owner ran it low on oil, but the motor seems to be fine- built tough!

It came with some mods done- Dynojet jet kit, K&N filter, White Bros R4 pipe and big header, Acerbiz Blitz HL, and smog junk removed. I found the bike way too lightly sprung for my weight as it is, but otherwise it ran fine. The braking feel is nowhere near as precise as my R1.
My goal for this project is to have a dirt capable motorcycle (with wheel swap) to do desert rides with, and also have the capability of tossing some street tires on it and tear up the track. I don't want to wreck my R1, so my 2nd bike had to be track-day capable.
And here it is now:
10/20/2007
Customized Zeta levers- Shim added to take up vertical slop, Set screws added to adjust pre-travel and brake light engagement point. I used a 10-24 set screw for lever adjustment and an 8-32 screw for brake light.
TT MCCT adjuster
Goodridge rear brake line, J-spec rear brake guard
Home made plate mount with plate mount signals, and OEM R6 LED brake light (not sure the year)
Custom mount for heat shield on Yosh Ti pipe. I used hose clamps and hardware from OSH. My right leg gets way hot when riding- at least when I'm not wearing boots.
