Plans for the reunion party are going full-steam. The party will be held from 6 to 11 on Saturday, September 9, 2006. We are planning several changes for the reunion this year. Dinner will be buffet style with a choice of various dishes. It will be set up in several locations around the room to facilitate mingling, so be sure to visit each table.
Music will be by the Elm Street Band so if you love to dance, bring your dancing shoes. (We hear that one couple we know of, likes to compete in ballroom dancing!) But don't let this deter you, the atmosphere will be very casual and informal and many classmates typically come solo.
On Sunday morning, those who are interested can attend 11:00 Mass, which will be offered for our intentions at St. Anthony's Church. Although it is a regular parish Mass, we can probably sit together near the front. Afterwards, there will be a tour of the school. We will meet in front of the church at noon and walk all the way to the school! The former convent is now used as a Parish Center and probably serves coffee and donuts to the parish so we don't want to interfere with their activities. There is plenty of parking in the enlarged parking lot on the south side of the church.
This will also give you an opportunity to make plans with a friend or two for breakfast beforehand or a late lunch. So if you're coming from out of town, make arrangements accordingly.
We have been contacted by several students who were with us for some of our high school years but did not graduate with us. They are certainly welcome to join us. And we've been able to locate several students who have not attended any of the previous reunions, so we hope they will join us this time. Although we can't promise it, we think everyone will have a good time.
Until then, be sure to click on each of the purple links at the bottom of each page to find out more about what's been going on with your classmates.
