HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH NAME MARTIN LUTHER LENNON?
Actually I didn't. Paul McCartney did. I heard him use the term in an interview referring to what he considered to be the overdone canonization of John Lennon after he was killed as opposed to how he was treated before that. I talked to a beatlefan once who told me that in the '60s that's what the band started calling him as he started to get more political. The name is dry, funny, dark, and pop. So I thought that it was appropriate.

Well, I guess. Though it did not really occur to me when I decided to use it. Yet another one of my jokes that nobody seems to get except for the ones that do and are insulted (and man, do I come up with a lot of those).

No, everyone calls me Tony. When all is said and done I never really had the nerve to get everyone to do that. So as a stage name and a band name it's basically interchangeable.

Yup, I am one of the main people involved.
