Alan Rickman:  The Unauthorized Biography, Maureen Paton:  Virgin Books, 1996.  Revised and reprinted in paperback in 2003.
Cautionary note—“unauthorized” is the operative word here.  Still, although this book is riddled with inaccuracies, it is the only monograph so far solely devoted to Alan Rickman’s life and work.
