The Professional Bio:

Robert F. (Bob) Wolff - has over 24 years experience as a professional audio engineer.  While studying the oboe at the Lamont School of Music, he discovered other avenues of musical expression were available through recording, producing, conducting and arranging.  While the latter two talents have been on the back burner for some time now, he has pursued excellence in the audio arts using his unique blend of artistic talent and sensibility coupled with strong technical knowledge and ease with understanding new technologies.  Bob has had the pleasure in recent years of working with many of the top engineers and producers in the field, including Shawn Murphy, Phil Ramone, Elliot Scheiner, Frank Filipetti, Steven Epstein, Gary Schultz, Grace Row, Richard King, and Charles Harbutt.  Recent projects have included the score recording for Clint Eastwood's "Mystic River", Mendelssohn & Bruch Violin Concertos with Midori, Mariss Janssons and the Berlin Philharmonic, Baz Luhrmann's "La Boheme" Cast Recording and "My Favorite Things: A Richard Rodgers Celebration" with the Boston Pops conducted by Keith Lockhart..  Although a classically trained musician, Bob is equally at home in the film, Broadway and Jazz worlds and is always looking for projects where musical talent and technical ability are used to create recordings of distinction.

I'm an audio engineer and recovering musician, living for the past many years in New York City, but now heading west to Los Angeles.  I've got a deep abiding interest in classical music, and those who make it.  "Classical", I've come to understand, really means (for professional purposes) "acoustic" and "played live"...in other words, those who put notes on paper and play them with instruments.  As most of this work is connected withthe film industry in this day and age, I've decided to make that my focus.  I'm also interested in the theater, philosophy, aviation, travel, computers, books, writing, food, dining, scotch, wine, skiing, beauty, faith, honor, truth, justice, humor, good conversation and the litte things that make life worthwhile.

Once upon a time, I used to close written documents with this line (and I stll think it's a good one):

All for now....keep the faith.
