In order to access the Files area or read the Yahoo messages off the website, you need to have a Yahoo ID. Once you have this, you will also be able to access the alternate chat site. The official chat site does not require this access.

Getting a Yahoo ID:
In order to have full access rights so that you can access the alternate Chat and the Files area, and to be able to read the messages off the website, instead of just email, you need a Yahoo ID. The Yahoo ID is free. (If you already have a Yahoo ID, please click here.) If you need to get a Yahoo ID, go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/ Then, over on the left under Yahoo! Groups, where it says Getting Started eGroups members, click on Link your accounts to a Yahoo! ID here. It will then take you to pages where you can either

Changing Delivery Options or Unsubscribing:
Once you've got your Yahoo ID, you can change your delivery options so that you can read the messages at the website or get a daily digest of all the messages, instead of getting individual emails, if you so desire. Go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups Then, under the horizontal blue bar, click on Edit My Groups. On the page that comes up, over in the next to last right column, Message Delivery, click the drop-down arrow for the group(s) that you want to change. Select either:

Using Chat:
There are now 2 chat sites for Healthy Exchanges:
- The official chat site, where the scheduled chats take place, is at:
- www.healthyexchanges.com
- Once there, scroll down to the CHAT ROOM section and click on Click here,
- or you may just click Chat Room right here.
- Or, if you are already on the message boards at this site, you may just click Chat Room in the menu across the top.
- This site requires no access ID other than the nickname that you submit when you start the chat.
- The alternate chat site is at Yahoo. Once you:
then you can enter this alternate Chat Room, by either:
- have Joined Healthy Exchanges Yahoo Group, and
- have Got a Yahoo ID which includes linking your email to the healthyexchanges group, and
- have received notification from the group owner that you have been accepted into membership in the group
- clicking here, or
- clicking Yahoo healthyexchanges group
- going to the menu on the left side of the page, and
- clicking Chat.
- This will take you to a YAHOO board where you will put in your name, etc. and you will be at the Yahoo HE chat site automatically. You have to be approved by HE before you can use the Yahoo chat room, so you might need to apply for that [ahead of time] before you get on.
