Series Two: These Are the Girls I know I know.

As all of my projects tend to do, this one has expanded on me.  I've decided to shoot this in 35mm.  The move to the larger format has introduced a lot of interesting things into the process and I've had to push back the shooting of These are the girls I know I know (*shudder*) I hate pushing things back, I know it has to be done from time to time but it drives me insane. This series will use the same methods and techniques that I develeoped in Longboard; however, it will be more portrait in nature, and as I mentioned I will be shooting on 35mm instead of 16mm.  Hopefully, the old Russian camera that I bought to do this with will live up to the task.  It looks really good, in great shape. And the brightness of the viewfinder, Oh MY God!! Best I've ever looked through.  Its a mirrored shutter reflex camera.  Yes indeedy, finally got me a reflex film camera. I intend to shoot tests with this as soon as I can learn to load the funky mags and make it go whirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, that is modify a western power source to drive a 1960 soviet era camera, mmmmmmm.  They say it can be done.

Because No One Poses with Their Toaster

This series was concieved by my roomate Sparky and is currently in production.  This project is open to anyone who wishes to pose with thier toaster.  Half documentary and half posed art shots this is a lite and whimsical project that already has been a lot of fun, and I've only shot three pictures!  If you would like to participate in this project by posing with your Toaster, please contact me at f824fps@earthlink.net and again in order to seperate the wheat from the chaff, as it were, please put "Toaster Project" in your subject line.  Here's a taste....
