Domestic ducks are not known for their ability to fly.  Man has pretty well bred that out of them.   Most are too heavy.  Or their wings are simply proportionately too small.  But there are exceptions to every rule.  Or maybe just the occasional duck who didn't get the word that domestic ducks can't fly.  What ever the case, there is a runner in Canada who can fly.   She is the smallest of her little flock, but the boldest.  Being a born leader, she strives to be first in line.
Sadly, her little legs can't outrun her buddies.
What to do?
Fly!!!
Her name is Picard Canard (who boldly goes) - named for the Jean Luc Picard of Star Trek fame.
She lives on Gabriola Island, BC. and belongs to my Canadian pen-pal,  Jenny MacLeod, who sent me this picture.
