Texas
Exes Endowed Scholarship Here
is an opportunity to benefit yourself with a tax deduction, our
Chicago Texas Exes Chapter, outstanding Chicagoland students, and
The University of Texas at Austin. As you may know, many UT alumni
spend a few years in Chicago, then move on to their next destination.
This transitional nature of our chapterıs membership has made it
challenging for the volunteer leadership of the chapter to establish
an endowed scholarship fund.
An
endowed scholarship fund is simply an investment account that The
Texas Exes, UTıs independent alumni association, manages in Austin
on behalf of the Texas Exes chapter for which it is established.
You may be aware of the hundreds of endowment funds held for many
other Texas Exes chapters. Itıs time the Chicago Texas Exes chapter
had one: donıt you agree?
Having
an endowed scholarship fund will help ensure that we are able to
provide at least one scholarship every year to a deserving Chicagoland
high school graduate. Yes, the chapterıs Texas Independence Day
celebration will remain a strong local fundraising event as long
as there are volunteers who step forward to make it happen. Our
endowed scholarship fund will permanently establish our presence
here in the Midwest. It will make sure that our goals, providing
Chicago Texas Exes a connection with UT Austin, and helping recruit
the best and brightest students for our alma mater, are always met.
Please
make a contribution today! You may do so by check made out to Chicago
Texas Exes or credit card. Our mailing address is PO Box 577996
Chicago, IL 60657-7996
Your
contributions will be kept in a separate chapter account until we
reach the required $7,500.00 for Austin to take over the fund management.
Your
thank you letter listing the Texas Exesı federal tax identification
number will serve as your receipt for tax deduction purposes. The
Chicago Texas Exes Endowment Fund will reflect honorably on our
chapter and on all who care about The University.
