A physicist by day (and sometimes night),
I am an enthusiastic photographer who focuses on color landscape photography.
I have been practicing photography seriously since 1995 and began working
with a 4x5 field camera in the fall of 1999. I am most inspired when I carry
my camera with me up into the mountains or out into the desert, preferably on
my back. A light weight and a minimal equipment set is necessarily a strict
requirement. I am currently using a Wista DX field camera and a three lens
set; Nikkor SW 90/8.0, Schneider APO-Symmar 150/5.6 and Fujinon A 240/9. I use
Fuji color transparency film exclusively in my work,
Velvia, Provia F and Astia. I am deeply indebted to my wife Kristina who acts
as sherpa and inspirer. We reside in Los Angeles, CA and can be reached via e-mail at rsross *at*
earthlink *dot* net.
