Here's the Mathcad-3.1 version of my paper "Noon Day Sun Sightings".Its also available on the disk "Exploring Mathcad" from Mathsoft.See "http://www.mathsoft.com/" for info on the disk and more goodstuff. If you have mathcad or the Mathbrowser, load the Mcd file: Sextant.mcd . If you want to down load the Mcd file, make sure that you get the two neededdate file also. They are angles.prn,the solar altitudes for the sightings, and times.prn,the times that the sightings were taken. These three file must be in the same directory for mathcad to load them correctly. Make sure you set Mosaic's load to disk option. Else You can load the Gif Images of it.
The new Mathcad 6 Plus version of "Noon Day Sun Sightings"is now available in both Mathcad source format (mcd file) or Adobe PDF format. The same data files, angles.prn and times.prn are need by the 6+ version of sextant2000. mcd
