The use of a one-on-one training coach is increasing in many organizations for three primary reasons:

1. Classroom training is expensive and on many occasions the number of people needed to make up a class, in order to maximize the value of the expenditure, is not available.

2. New hires often come on board one at a time and can’t wait to be trained.

3. Often the most appropriate way for the learner to be taught is on the job itself.
