Like 5-color printing and two-page spreads, spectacular Web site bells and whistles have their places. But place shouldn't be one of them, considering the resources many of you are using. I've tried to avoid causing a speed or readability problem. If you're having one, would you please let me know? Briefly tell me what happens, what browser name and version you're using, and the size of monitor. My development time is limited, but if there's a problem, I'll find time to fix it. Meanwhile, you can still evaluate a pretty good copywriter (if not programmer) this way:
Bad Layout: A few pages let you click to get simpler versions. (One of these days, I'll have them switch for you automatically.)
Slow visuals: Tell your browser not to "auto-load" images. You can then view just the images you want to see . . . the ads, I hope. (Assuming your browser isn't text-only, of course.)
Error messages or incomplete pages: Try disabling Javascript in your browser options, although it might not help.
Other problems: Please e-mail me and let me know what you're seeing.
