Lawton Statue at Lawton Plaza Manila. Family photo
Interestingly, the plaza which has recently been modernized is
now officially known as Liwasang Bonifacio. However, the Filipinos continue to
call
the Plaza 'Lawton' and the name Lawton continues to be printed on maps and bus
route pamphlets and is used in Chamber of Commerce materials.
