NSDI-L US National Spatial Data Infrastructure

The purpose of this list is to discuss issues in the US National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI). The National Spatial Data Infrastructure is the means to assemble geographic information that describes the arrangement and attributes of features and phenomena on the Earth. The infrastructure includes the materials, technology, and people necessary to acquire, process, store, and distribute such information to meet a wide variety of needs.

Note that in late 1994, the NSDI-L list was transferred from the University of Maine to the US Geological Survey.
