Beloved (and former, now working on Arc GIS 3D Analyst) Atlas developer Sam "The Man" Berg of ESRI has provided a maintenance patch for Atlas GIS 4.0, now available for free download! It includes the Query Builder for enterprise GIS environments, a fix for the line-style and Atlas Reports bugs, and particularly improved shapefile export.
Atlas GIS legend Dylan Vance wrote an Atlas App called Partial that allows you to open a project file and retrieve settings and layout even if the underlying files are gone or corrupted. This can be mighty handy, and saves you from editing the PRJ in a text editor. You can download Partial here.
Also from ESRI are the utilities that convert from ArcView's Shape format to Atlas AGF, and vice versa. To download the Shapefile to AGF utility from the ESRI FTP site, click here. For AGF to Shapefile, click here.
Yvan Boyjoo of SYCARE GÉOMATIQUE in Quebec was smart enough to download this file of 43 technical notes for Atlas GIS For Windows from the SMI website while it was still up. Yvan has been so kind as to share it with everyone, and it's very convenient to have these notes locally. To download the Tech Notes for Atlas GIS For Windows, click here. Users may also once again access individual tech notes for the Windows and DOS versions on the ESRI website.
