Truth or Consequences

Decisions today may force us
to tip the scales between our
faith and our family tomorrow.

My wife and I were baptized in 1969 at Pleasanton, California. We were a young couple without knowledge of the Bible and quickly accepted the Watchtowers teachings. My wife and I raised our two children as Jehovah's Witnesses and trained them from infancy to speak to others of our belief.

I later became a ministerial servant and then an elder. My wife joined the ranks of the full-time ministry, called "pioneer." We were very active and loyal to what we believed to be the "truth."

After a careful study of the Bible, I came to the opinion that the Watchtower is wrong on many of their doctrines. Doctrines such as their many predictions of the end of the world, the two-class system of 144,000 who are commonly called "the anointed" who would be the only ones to enter Heaven, and "the other sheep" who would remain on the earth. The blood policy and many more.

Due to my disassociating myself in 1998 from the Watchtower Organization, my wife of thirty years and my children's family left me and am presently shunned by my friends. This is a policy that has devastated many families and has been created by the Organization to shut the mouth of all those who disagree with the Watchtower and their policies.
