HOW DOES IT WORK
To play a live game of Empire Deluxe you should schedule a time
and day to meet with your opponent by e-mail. When you play, you
and your opponent will meet via ICQ. Your opponent must be added
to your ICQ list of players or you will not know if he is on the
Interent. When he is on the Net his name will appear in a list of
On-Line players. Now you can click on his name and begin a chat
session and decide on game parameters and then play using com T
as a link between games. So, in summary, you need ICQ as a
meeting place for your opponent and you need com T as a
communications program for Empire Deluxe. You don't need ICQ to
play Live ED, it is only used as a means of telling your opponent
your IP address. If you & your opponent have another method
for reporting your IP address you can use that. However, most
Live ED'ers are on ICQ, so if you feel like dialing in and hoping
to find someone waiting to play a game, ICQ is your best bet for
that.

If youve played PBEM games you can relate to this, Ever
wonder if you opponent is cheating? Sometimes it seems he always
sinks your transports with just 1 plane. Well, it is impossible
to "Best Turn" someone in a live game, cause you
see the results as they happen. And your not left wondering if he
played fair, cause you witnessed what happened.
